This template creates links to any specified amount of editions.

Parameters[]

Anonymous parameters[]

The template accepts infinite anonymous parameters, one for each edition. Known parameter values automatically select an associated edition name to display, page name for linking, and maintenance category. If an unknown parameter value is encountered, default values are generated by a formula (and might produce redlinks, which might or might not be intentional).

Named parameters[]

In addition to the anonymous parameters, the template accepts the following named parameters:

Named Parameter Effect
short=1 Shortens the edition name. Example: Bedrock EdiceBE
nocat=1 (unused) Prevents the page from being added to any maintenance categories. Use this in documentation, talk pages, etc.
where you're mentioning or showing an example of the template rather than using it to mark a feature.

The following examples illustrate the generated output using various parameters.

Example 1 - Single edition name

generates:

Java Edice

Example 2 - Two edition names
{{editions|education|bedrock}}

generates:

Education and Bedrock editions

Example 3 - Three edition names
{{editions|ps4|3ds|console}}

generates:

PlayStation 4, New Nintendo 3DS, and Legacy Console editions


Example 4 - Incorporating Minecraft Earth
{{editions|edu|bedrock|earth}}

generates:

Education and Bedrock editions, and Minecraft Earth
